I had a cocker that could tie with a female a year after he was neutered. Vet said don't worry he can't reproduce, and he didn't but he sure didn't even know that he shouldn't be able to do that.

Has he been check for a brain tumor? Years ago a friend of mine had a doberman who went from being a big baby to not letting my friend any where near him over night. Turned out the dog had a brain tumor.

I would not get a puppy unless I could visit their home. Anyone can sound good on the internet and phone.
