I'm sorry things turned out this way. I'm glad you were able to talk to the vet and find out the real story. Hopefully someone can do something to stop them from pulling this again on someone else, but I imagine it's relatively easy to do.

I vote for a wonderful mutt from your local shelter or rescue. They need homes and if you chose correctly they make the best family members.

If you can talk them into altering ALL their dogs I'll happily contribute to the expenses. From what they appear to be doing I cannot beleive they truly care about their dogs. And if I'm wrong, I apologize.

I would get her spayed sooner rather than later. I am not a vet, but it sounds like the pregnancies could be a health risk.

It does have all the makings of a scam. I wouldn't do anything without vet proof.

Seems to me your offer to re-stud the same dog is very reasonable and if they can't wait 6 months until she is in heat again then someone seems too strang...

Did she have some type of trauma involving a car in her earlier life? If that's the case she may eventually settle down when she realizes that a car ride won't end with something bad happening.

Thanks everyone. I will try to get organized before they arrive because I'm suer it will be a bit hectic after they get here. Luckily mom is a good mom and they are basically healthy - that will definitely make it a little easier.
