I've always had a hard time housebreaking Kuma but he'd finally seemed to be getting the hang of it when we lived in a house with a yard. We lived there for about 2 months and then I moved again into a condo.

Kuma is not an "attachy" dog by nature, but I notice that he's been getting less skittish as he gets older and is more willing to sit next to me when I call him.

Wiley, while I truly do commend you for your genuine concern of the unwanted dog, I'm afraid that you are probably preaching to the choir.

I think it is unreasonable to expect all forms of breeding to just stop and have people just adopt ...

I think you use the prong side out when they're already trained with the prong side in, just as a reinforcement/reminder.

So. Roommate issues. They basically, despite my constant warnings and outright pleads(!) to make sure they close doors behind them SECURELY because Kuma, being a Shiba, WILL door bolt.
