Vaseline is a pretty good mite killer for dogs, but it also soothes their skin of sores and such. You could try rubbing a layer of it into his skin and it should actually take care of the irritation and scabs as well. Good luck with Ernie!

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback and comments. So far from where we've gone, B.C seemed to be the most exotic, mainly because of all the beautiful scenery. I like the idea of visiting Colorado though, photos I've seen are breath taking.
