I am not sure what breed you have. Many smaller breeds are typically get longer than some large breeds. And of course there are state laws to consider, as if the well being of the pups was not enough.

Going to your vet is the right thing to do. I am hoping she is not pregnant and this is just a false alarm. Hopefully so as well as an important lesson learned?

Rott is correct. The typical AKC conformation show is to judge AKC recognized purebreds as to how they conform to their written breed standard. Mixed breeds are not eligible since they are not purebred.
