yes, definately try the water method first. Like I said, my case was extreme, the cat did not respond to being blasted with a spray bottle, Super Soaker, or the water hose. Then, after he took a lunge at my baby cousin, I figured enough was enough ...

how funny! Cats are great because they are so unique and quirky. Enjoy your crazy kitties. I had a cat that was raised with a puppy. He thought he was a dog and would hike his leg to pee and everything. hehehe

with all the over zealous activists in this country protesting animal cruelty and we still have this cruel and uneccesary practice. It's a shame. But at the same time they say it's cruel and unusual punishment to cut off someone's hand for stealing...
