I completely agree with catlover.

A litter box, especially with two cats, needs to be cleaned at LEAST once a day. I will cometimes clean mine twice a day. Think about it. How would you like it if you could only flush your toilet once...

That is really interesting. I wonder if it really works? I would think they could pick up the scent of home either way, but I don't see any harm in coaxing it. If nothing else they get the joy of licking butter off their paws!
