use a size that is bigger that his mouth (so it won't get sutck) but not too big. i'm trying to remember the sizes, maybe the second to smallest size.

i know petsmart also has a "puppy playgroup" thing, at least where i live. i don't know if they require vaccinations, however.

if you know your neighbor's and friend's dogs are vaccinated, it's okay to have him be with them. a puppy kindergarten class is a great way to meet other puppies; the puppies in the class will have to be vaccinated.

by store brand some people mean the generic dog foods. or walmart brand (but check the ingredients.) i haven't looked what's in brands like Gravy Train, but those are included, too.
Some dog foods can be very expensive and i think people should fee...

the water drinking can come from high blood sugar. could be diabetes. they can die from this if not treated.

dogs that have prey drives may not be good with cats; those are greyhounds (some of them), terriers, pit bulls, pointers, maybe huskies, shiba inu, chesapeakes.

maybe with a 14 year old dog it could be due to age, the shedding? that would be a guess of mine.
for phenobarb, also check out Petmeds.com. I get my cat's eye drops there for almost half the price of the vet's. they mail the meds to you.
