you could get some Natural Tears kind of drops that are for humans and try that in her eye. it won't hurt.
my thought about the seizure thing is maybe get a second opinion from another vet? i think that sounds serious, too, and i'd want it thoro...

the only other option i would see is to completely remove the injured eye. that would cost less than a cornea surgery, i think. is there any place that does pet care for those who can't afford it in your area?

I would suggest the following:
When you are at work, keep her confined to the area around the doggie door, if possible. If it's in, say, the kitchen, put a gate up at the doorway(s) to keep her contained in there.

aesparza7, that sounds like a good idea to try and feed him in the bathroom while you get ready. i once had a golden retriever who would only eat when we were around. maybe it's the same with your little guy.

in my opinion, if you have only one pet, and no one else will be eating up his food, it's okay to leave a measured amount out and let him eat when he wants.
