Put the pill as far back in his throat as you can. Hold his mouth closed with one hand and gently rub his throat. For some reason, the rubbing triggers a swallow reflex. Good luck.

I'm afraid to look at the temp. All I know that just north of Detroit it's too darn hot and humid!!! And I had to go to a wake today and the ac in the car must need a charge. It was actually cooler with the windows down. Sammi is acting like it...

DH believes it's a little snapping turtle. But the red spot on it's nose is making him think again - maybe not. Says it's not a paint. As for the sores, are turtles suseptible (sp?) to fungus diseases?

I've heard that you should attach the leash and let the pup drag it around. I guess they figure out that they can't get away from it and it's not going to hurt them. Hope this helps.

Katy, welcome to the forum and congrats on the new baby. I don't know anything about the agression - I have the total opposite problem with Sammi. She loves everyone and everything. But the pulling I do know about. Sammi was a rescue at 3 years...
