As you can tell, I'm a pretty new member but had been lurking and reading posts for a couple months before joining because most of my breed specific (minpins) groups have been very quiet of late. I'm not very computer literate and, unfortunately, I a...

It is actually quite common, and in my own experience, seems to be more common in small dogs. I had dobermans for years and never noticed any reactions at all when they had their shots. However, I have had minpins now for 8 years, and both have had r...

I was reading on a dog food rating site today and beet pulp was specifically mentioned as a questionable filler when used in dog food. Even in the cheap brands it would only be used in fairly small amounts, definitely not as a major part of the diet....

Did you get your chi from a "knowledgeable" breeder...I'll use that term rather than "reputable" as your definition of a reputable breeder could be very different from mine. I also know some very knowledgeable breeders that I could never consider rep...

My male minpin developed a UTI when he was not quite 3 and was also treated with clavimox, at a much lower dosage of course! My vet and I determined it was due to the DUMB act on my part of switching him over to a poor quality food that he absolutely...

That poor baby needs to see a vet ASAP. She likely has a severe infestation of intestinal parasites, but you can't know for sure what type or even if that is her only problem without the vet running some tests. DO NOT GIVE HER ANY OTC WORMER LIKE HAR...
