Thanks to you all. I am kinda bothered my vet didn't go into any detail about risks with spaying while in heat. I looked up more information on it, and a lot of experts say to wait too. Tink has been keeping herself very clean. She is still sleeping ...

Okay Riley thanks. Tink seems to be keeping herself very clean as well. Do you know how long heats last? I have heard anywhere from 1-3 weeks. My mother in law has a beagle

So I think I figured it out why Tink wandered out of the yard. Windy guessed it. She is in heat. So far it isn't really noticeable. How long does it usually last? There is no heavy bleeding. She seems to be keeping herself clean. Should I let her do ...

It's a happy ending :) Thanks again to all of you. I couldn't put Tink down last night. The kids were soo happy to have her back too. I just ordered her a new doggy bed.
