I have had nothing but problems with Nortons kept getting infectef until I switched to mcaffe. But a hundred something a year is high for firewall, virus protection i think.

Even with all the problems that a dane can have with health i still would not have any other breed. A lot of problems can be avoided with good food and good care though. And the most important starting from good parents.

The vet should be able to hear the murmur when he listens to heart. The other symptoms are getting tired easily. Slow growth and sleeping alot.

When you press on it to check pulse just press on it like you were taking your own. Not to hard or your would cut off blood supply if it were blood vessels.

Is this your first dane? I have had four one of which was a puppy I had to give back to the breeder because she had such a bad heart murmur. How old is your dane. I am pretty sure if it was a serious heart defect your vet would have picked up on ...

Is it hard or soft? If it is blood vessels you would feel a pulse in it. Does it move when you lighty press on it.

Hard to type when you have 2 danes on the bed with you.
