I can't say for sure is stones grind down teeth although I think they would. Also you have to be careful she doesn't swallow any because that could bring up problems resulting in vet trips.

My friend had a newfie and she was a gentle giant. She also never barked. I can't say I ever head her bark once. She was also a good watch dog and love cuddles and lots of petting

i would suggest you go out and buy a ferrt book from Barron's books. Its very helpful.
