Isn't stripping the pulling of the hair that needs to come out? It needs to be done evenly, that is why it takes so long.

Oh, I also recall my MIL saying that her groomer wishes she would let her let the mouth stomache and eye brow hair grow longer like its supposed to be. She likes it shorter and easy to manage.

Even the schnauzers on the dog shows are clipped. My mother inlaw has hers clipped. I have her old clipper set. Stripping is for thinning the hair and making the dog have that spiky wirey haired look that the terrier breeds are known for. I don't b...

Adult dogs defianitley bond with you, if not stronger. They realize they have been saved. A pup does not know that its life was in danger. It just know happy happy joy joy.

I have not been around a puppy since I was a kid. My poodle is a rescue, and I have been thru the hell and high water with her. Just as puppys raise all sort of h*ll, so has she. I have grown so close to her thru her retraining that its not even fun...

Hi, my possible terrier-border collie needs this done. I thought a rake would be better, but it seems the slicker does just as good. Just my opinion.

Both are great. Maybe she could comprimise and you could get a yellow lab. If your set on a lab. Maybe you could apply for one thats been thru some teaching already.
