I have always used nylabone products as they don't seem to cause a choking or gut plugging hazzard. Be careful of anything your puppy could swallow. Removal can be expensive.

As far as wee wee pads go I never used them. I always used the tried and true method of crate training. To me training a dog to pee in your house just seemed kind of defeating. A puppy should be able to hold it for 4 hours by 12-14 weeks I think...
