Some dogs are naturally coprophagic. It's gross and I would monitor their running around loose. Some dogs become coprophagic because they are not geting the nutrition they need. Could be many reasons, but trying a different diet may help.

Watch him closely, if he runs loose, put a caged muzzle on him if you thing he will get into something dangerous. Possibly change his diet. Maybe he is searching for something he isn't getting-nutrition???

I am glad that you like what you feed your dogs. I also like what I feed my performance/show dogs. I limit the kibble, as what dog in the wild would eat kibble? I feed my dogs a raw diet, mixed with a bit of Holistic Select and lots of fresh veget...

I agree with the above. Could potentially be dangerous for your bitch and I believe spay/neuter is the way to go, unless you actively show your dogs and are trying to perpetuate an excellent line of purebred dogs.

There is an injection that a vet can give a female within a couple of days of a mating, and she will not have pups, but you may be past that time. It is difficult on the dog and my vet said he will only give it twice in the lifetime of a female.
