Go to a shelter and see if you find a dog that bonds with you. Many wonderful dogs need loving homes and if you are not particular about a specific breed, then save a life of a loving companion.

Nothing. I don't begin worming until 6 weeks. I know many begin earlier, but I have never had an issue and I don't medicate early or too often.
