Count, if you mean me, nope. My breeding pair's pedigree, which is registered with the AKC (as were the pups) was important in determing the value of the pup's heritage and bloodlines. Each pup was "judged" on quality individually.

My litter was registered with the AKC within an hour of birth (which can now be done on-line). I've never had any problems registering my dogs or pups with AKC, so I'm not sure what problems folks are having.
