I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong (which I probably am, but..) I previously mentioned Sheba our Black Lab. She was from one of the most well established kennels of her breed and had a pedigree like the who's who of dogdom. She was purc...

In truth, a LARGE part of the success I had was in training, you are right on the money there. The Butler's just made it a bit easier to do the training. I had to work up to the extended crate time over a few days and had to train MYSELF to let her...

Can't speak for my pure bred Pyrs being able to hang out in the mountains to gurd the herds, but they sure make sure they "herd" any newcomer to the house! Place their bodies between the stranger and the fdamily member, gently guiding them away from...

lol~ my female Pyr gives you that same, "you threw it, you want it, YOU fetch it" look. It is evidently beneth her to involve herself in silly human "tricks". My male...now he LOVES to play fetch. Go figure. It really is not part of a Pyr persona...

LindyLou it sounds like your are friend with this breeder, you saw the "cute little puppy" and simple wanted one to love. While the conditions under which your baby was bred are horrid, he/she still needs a good home with someone who will prvovide h...
