If he's not doing better yet can you try different vets? Even if you have to drive for an hour or so. I know the smaller more country type vets are usually much more reasonable than the ones that are small animal only.

Smegma and ejaculate are different. I don't know if neutering will help, I've seen neutered dogs who have discharge, if it does help it may take longer.

The dewormer I mentioned is for worms and giardia, if the puppies have coccidia they will need something else. I just read that some vets do give the metro for coccidia, I thought maybe your sister had mixed up which problem they had.

Albon is usually what is given for coccidia. They usually give metro for giardia.

Check out AKC, I think showing conformation is the only type of showing that a dog has to be AKC registered for.

Yes the fleas will bite people.

You can get your dog medicine, Front line and Advantage are both good but take a few days to really start working, I would get one of those and go your vet and get the Capstar pill that works faster.

Sometimes dogs will have split heats where they come right back in heat again, it happens more often in young dogs. The second one is usually the fertile one, so watch her closely if you think she's back in.

Keep her away from all other males for at least a week, and better yet two or three weeks after she quits bleeding. Watch for the swelling to go down, she should be about finished then.
