I had a really sweet hamster. She was a female black bear hamster, I think. They have short, velvety, brown fur. She never bit anyone, even when we didn't handle her for a few days.

When I was a kid we had an indoor only cat who escaped and came back pregnant. She delivered two hairless premature kittens. One was still born,the other struggled for breath for a few minutes and died. It was heartbreaking for all of us.

I think in general small dogs are easier to travel with or find a sitter for. They fit in a smaller car, their crates are smaller, some hotels only allow small dogs, and kennels usually charge much less and have more room for them. I travel with my...

I have a maltese and there is no way he could go 3 weeks without a bath. I usually bath him once week. A puppy probably doesn't need to be bathed quite as often though...
