My question is if the male has been fixed why was he even interested in the female. I have a male dog that has been fixed and females that have not been fixed, he doesn't even notice when they are in heat. You may want to have the males checked also,...

I own horses and dogs. Our dogs have never gotten sick from eating the trimmings. Our ferrier has several dogs that will run under the horses and get the trimmings and none of them have been sick.I think it's okay, just a little dirty.
