ask your vet, but maybe the pup has acid reflux and is aspirating a little. If that's the case, the vet may put the puppy on pepcid or something like that.

Would you be able to afford to fly there and pick the puppy up? As far as I know, the puppy can be with you in the cabin if it's in a carrier, and you pay an extra fee. Another option might be if someone else local takes the pup for a few ...
