When she's pulling you what do you do? Do you keep walking, or try to pull her back? If so try a new technique...when she starts pulling stop don't move at all. Don't move until she has completely stopped pulling and their is slack in the least ...

FYI there was a case of canine flu reported in MI. They didn't give the location but it appeared to be the Metro area. The cocker in question was fine in the end. :)

It sounds more like kennel cough to me after reading that. But I'm sure the vet can tell me for sure. But at least now I can ask her about this new 'flu' just so that my vet is aware if she hasn't been informed already.

She does not have a runny nose, fever, watery eyes or showing any other sypmtoms. she has her normal appetite and is playing normally. She doesn't cough much. I'll see if I can get in earlier and I'll monitor her closely.

just a word of warning. Those cute doggie fountains can get your dog sick. you should really only let your dog drink out of its personal bowl. There are many dog owners that don't know or dont' care if there dog is sick.
