Getting them spayed at six months is correct. Shelters will do them younger though, which I don't really agree on.

It is a very hard decision to make, if the quality of life is no longer.......just remember, putting them to sleep is the "Last act of LOVE" we can do for them. I lost a wonderful Maine Coone one year ago, and I still cry for him.
