Why would you limit it to "non-profit" shelters? There are thousands of animals in AC facilities, & rescues that don't have 501(c)3 status that are just as deserving & needy.

Flea collars don't work. You can really run into trouble using the cheap stuff & puleaseee don't use anything by Hartz.

The advantix has been linked to seizures & glaucoma in some dogs & you can't use it on the dog if you have any cat...

I don't think it so much people having something against the mixed breed dogs as it is against the irresponsible, money grubbing monsters that intentionally breed them, then sell them as a "breed".

Both things help to reduce the possibility of getting yeast infections while on antibotics, in people & animals. They have nothing to do with lyme disease - only preventing yeast infections.

The dog that is on doxy - if not already, get him on either live culture yogurt or acidolpholous.
