I have seen dogs with these before. It needs to be removed and can cost a few hundred dollars depending on the size. You vet with be able to tell you if it is the 'C' word, but it most likely is just a growth.

To train the dog not to pull, so you won't have to always us a prevention device. Use a choke chain correction or a pinch collar. Be sure to get instructions on the proper use of a choke chain before using it.

The only fruit my daushound won't eat were grapes. I guess dogs are just as different as people. My lhasa won't eat anything that isn't meat or dog food. The dalmatian will eat any that hits the floor.

While times are hard try a flea collar. I wouldn't use the boric acid. Maybe use citrus spray on areas where the dog will be. You can make this yourself using a lemon (cut into wedges) and a pint of boiling water. Let it sit over night and spray ...
