A drop in sugar levels could be the problem....you will only know if you go to the vet.

You shouldn't be changing your dog's food. Keep your dog on a consistant diet. I would see your vet if your dog is having this hard of a time, though

If the dog gets shocked instead of crushed by a car I am all for it. I do think that a dog should learn this behavior incase the collar is not on, though. Placing a dog on a 30 foot lead and pulling it to you when you call it is a good training too...
