I have to trim ours every couple of weeks when I bathe them. Ours get the same thing if you let the back-end hair get very long.

I use scissors and then hubby's beard trimmer ;]

Keesha our girl's moan a bit too after a good romp or time at the beach but the pooch is also limping. I haven't seen limping in healthy dog's except senior pooches.

This is the reason I suggest a second opinion.

Go to a different vet. Animals are like children....if our doc told me nothing was wrong with my daughter but she continued to limp and moan...I'd take her to a new doc.
