It is for when your female gets bred and you didnt want her to get bred, it terminates the pregnancy in the very early stages. Causes reabsorbtion of any possibly concieved embryo's.

Most all dogs are pregnant about 63 days from the day of ovulation which is usually between 9 and 15 days into the heat cycle. So you could say about 73 days from the first day they come in heat is when they might have pups.
