Pen, If I sell off one of my adult breeding dogs, I do not give a guarantee either. But I normally have all of the clearances done before then. I only guarantee the puppies that I produce.

There was no contract involved. It was an "as is" transaction. She is just as shocked as I am - she doesnt do thyroid tests but works for a vet so she knows how serious it is.

I will not breed a dog unless ALL of their clearances come back normal. I will not take the chance that she will pass it on. She will be sold as a pet with a spay requirement.

Some breeders may want to take that chance, but I am not one of...

So, to show in the UKC, as a handler, you do not really need to know too much?

I am contemplating showing one of my goldens in the UKC, but I know nothing about handling at all.

I have been told that she has dropped incisors, but it can be common in Goldens and that they normally overlook them cause it is a very minor fault.

Thanks everyone! I have emailed the chairperson of the Fort Detroit GRC and am waiting for a reply back from her. Hopefully she can point me to someone to take a look at her for me.
