No it isn't always the owner at all. A dogs behavior is often in key with his/her breeding. Poor breeding can show in things like poor temperament and poor health. Out of standard and many other things. There are many bad Pits and Pit mixes out there...

What about medium breeds? A well bred healthy Pit Bull can live up to 19yrs.
