I was told the larger breeds can stay on puppy food until 2 yrs old. The vet said larger breeds don't always reach their full growth until then.

Don't know what it means, but my 14 yr old chow/shepherd does the same thing. She doesn't do it all the time, but at least once or twice a day.

Meridith- shelter dogs are great. I may have pure siberians, but I also have a chow/shepherd we got from our local shelter 13 1/2 yrs ago. She's a great companion. Terriermom- *warning taser* did you not read the original post?

Seriously? Mals will usually attack you with tongue not teeth. They're liable to lick you to death or sit on you. Are you badly injured? Hope everything works out.
