My Sweet Suzie
I had Suzie for 10 years. She was a black lab(I liked to call her a blab!). She was 13 years old. She was getting blind and deaf. She lived outside in a kennel, and one night, she got out. We live about a mile and a half from any main road. On December 30, Suzie escaped from her kennel, and got lost and ended up about 4 miles from home. She got hit by a car. Later, someone saw her body and took her to the vet. They called us in the morning on December 31, to ask if one of our dogs was missing. We went out and checked, and Suzie was gone. I cried every night for a long time. I got Suzie when I was 8. It's hard to have such a good friend for so long, then have it die in a freak accident. Suzie was such a good dog. She was the only dog I ever had that liked going in the water. In the summer, we would walk down to our bridge and go into the creek underneath it.
