I was 12 and Considered Old

I was 12 and considered old
There was nobody wanting to take me home.
Than one day you walked in and starred
And I, I wasn't even aware.
They took me to you so we could meet
I was so leary of this great treat.
Someone was really looking at me!!
Considering taking me home and setting me free.
I was on my very best behaviour
This person would be my life long saviour.
We had less than three short years together
But they were my VERY best ever.
So when you think of me don't cry
you gave me love, a home, my pride.
I was 12 and considered old
But you, you still wanted to take me home.
This poem is dedicated to my sweet boy Tigger born on December 15, 1987 and went to Rainbows Bridge on March 17, 2003 he is very loved and deeply missed.
