my boxer baby Amber Skye Rivenbark
we lost Amber on December 5, 2003. she was 9 months old that day. we lost her because we have neighbors who are terrible. they let her and her sister out. then called the pound on them. i was called at work, and told the pound had picked amber and alexis up and that one had been ran over. so i rushed home and got my husband and we raced to the pound. when there we were told that both had been ran over and both were very bad off, and that they had already put one to sleep. i cried and screamed out to them how they had a right knowing she was our dog, to kill her, without talking to us first. they then realised how upset i was and said they were sorry. and that the other was bad too, and they were fixing to put her down too had we not shown up. and they wouldnt advise us to take her home but it was our desicion. we obviously took her. so when they went to get her i had no idea who to expect to come out that door. and i didnt know what id do when i found out who was still alive. so i closed my eyes, and then i was being licked and jumped on, i opened my eyes, and it was Alexis, i love her to death but obviously broke down because i know knew it was Amber who was dead. we found out later that neither dog had been hurt, which was obvious when Alexis walked out and jumped on me. so anyways. Amber was killed for no reason other than a mistake was made in the pound. so they tried to cover it up with lies. Amber is gone now. and nothing they can do will ever bring her back!! her birthday was the other day she would of been 1 year old. i miss her greatly. IN LOVING MEMORY OF
