Always in our hearts ... Sia
It is difficult to create a tribute to a companion that has made such an impact on our lives as you have, Sia. From the day you found us and taught us the importance of patience and love, throughout your life, brightening the days of all you came into contact with. You pulled the neighborhood kids on their skateboards, like a good sled dog, as well as loved being carried in the clothes basket around the house like a puppy ... even when you were full grown. You never cried, we hope that is because you were so happy and enjoyed the love you received.
You did a wonderful job training Annie; she has so much of you in her.
Then, after 17 years, you cried for the first time, from the pain, and it broke my heart ... we always asked you to let us know when it was time. I tried to take as much of your pain away; I carried you as much as I could.
I carried you to the rainbow bridge, took your collar off, kissed you on the nose, told you that your mom and I love you, and set you free.
I cry often for you, Sia ... for the love you gave us and the greatness that you exuded ... we miss you
Run free and proud ... wait for us ..
