My beloved Shadow.... gone but you will never be forgotten....
I lost my beloved dog Shadow on 6/2/09. He was 12 and had cancer. I was blessed to have him for 12 years. I miss him still so very much. This Christmas was difficult to not have him with me, he was such a big part of my family. I'll always cherish the memories that I had of him. He was loving, playful and had a mind of his own and an appetite that never ended - LOL! He was a cocker spaniel and he loved being outside. He was a trooper whenever I took him on some very long hikes. I'll never forget the time about 3 years ago when a friend, her dog, Shadow & I went to Shenandoah for a quick nice hike. It was my friend's first time up there. I figured we would do a 5 mile hike - easy, no problem. Oops it ended up being 10 miles. I know Shadow was cussing me out, but he kept going, he was a fighter he would never give up! He gave my friend the inspiration to keep going as well. Shadow, may you always rest in peace with God and all the other little angels in heaven. I know I will see you again my beloved boy!
