Our First Cocker Spaniel Sandy
You were our first, my birthday present right after dad and I got married in 1994. You were a pure white Cocker Spaniel at the time. 6 weeks old when they delivered you to us. A beautiful bundle of joy. Our two teenage children loved you lots, sometimes I think a little too much, they never put you down I don't think. As you grew you became mommy's dog, because the kids were at school and dad was at work. You followed me everywhere. You cried till we let you sleep in bed with us.
Ten years later and grandchildren in the world, you went on the road with me when I started driving truck. You were such a good girl. You sat in the passenger seat the whole time while I was driving looking out the window, like you were looking out to make sure I was safe.
Your last trip was when I discovered the tumor. It exploded into a huge round ball before we could get home. As soon as we did I took you to the vet and he said that it was too late that all he could do was give you meds to make you comfortable till the end. The hardest thing in my life that I EVER had to do was to make the choice to have him put you to sleep. I just couldn't bear to see you suffer. We all love you and miss you each and every day. We WILL see you on the other side. Love you, mommy, daddy, sister and brother
