In Loving meory of Spiffy

You never know how much you truly love a pet until you have to give it up. I have three dogs a Boston that is a house dog ,a Aussie named Rowdy, and Spiffy a true corgie, who are yard dogs. I say a true Corgie, they have so much spunk and have to be the boss. Spiffy raised Rowdy from a pup and had to discapline him as any good mother. As he grew and even today she is his whole world. He would not leave he side for a minute. Through the past several months as Spiffy gradually lost the use of her hind legs, due to a seasure he was always there keeping watch, never leaving her side. He loved to run and play but couldn't under stand why she could not . Spiffy loved small children and would get as close to them as she possibly could, like they were the most important thing in the world. We never bred he so I think her natural mothering instinct came out around small children. When I would go to put on and tie my boots she would come up and git right in the middle of the peocess demanding my attention. I look back and regret that I didn't spend more time with her and enjoy her loving nature more. I had her father for many years and he was a great comfort and helped me smile and comforted me through a number of difficult years. I believe that is why dogs are so important to us, I have often said they were angles from God put in our lives to help us through the tough times. They love unconditionaly and demand little in return. Spiffy will always be remembered and missed, by my family and especialy Rowdy. Surely God in his infinate widom has a place in heaven for our guardian angles, and we will enjoy their loving spirits again. I am now in my 60's and have had a number of dogs and pets that I will never forget and hope to see again. They all helped me through phases of my life. So long Spiffy. I did love you so much not realizing how much until the end.
