Safety InstructionsUse only premium clumping, scoopable cat litter. Adult supervision is recommended during your cat's initial introduction.Not intended for use with kittens under 6 months of age. This product is for indoor use only. Do not submerge or expose the electrical components to water or cleaning solutions.Important: Pregnant women, babies, small children and immune-deficient individuals should avoid contact with cat litter waste. Cat's waste may contain toxoplasmosis bacteria that can be harmful to these individuals. Four Easy Steps for SetupTake the Simply CleanT Litter Box System out of the box and remove all excess packaging material. Set the litter box system on a firm, flat surface. Remove the screws from the center of the Litter Bowl and top of the Conveyor System and lift the Conveyor System. Attach the Litter Guard to the Litter Bowl allowing the notch on the Litter Guard to fit under the Conveyor System. The Litter Guard has a small plastic tab at the other end that fits under the lip of the Litter Bowl. Lower the Conveyor System and attach the two screws.Align the Conveyor Cover with the Conveyor System and snap into place.Use a recycled plastic shopping bag to line the Waste Receptacle. Insert the lined Waste Receptacle into the Simply CleanT Litter Box System.Fill the Simply CleanT Litter Box with premium clumping, scoopable cat litter to the designated Fill Line. Do not let litter fall below the fill line. Plug in the Simply CleanT Litter Box into a standard wall outlet. The unit is now on and your Simply CleanT Litter Box is ready to use.Important: For the Simply CleanT Litter Box System to operate properly, the green indicator light on the side of the unit should be on. If the indicator light is not on, check the Conveyor Cover and the Waste Receptacle to make sure that they are aligned correctly with the unit.Tips for Set Up:Spray the inside of the Litter Bowl with nonstick cooking spray to help prevent waste clumps from adhering the the surface of the Litter Bowl.For additional odor control you can add a small layer of litter into the recycled plastic shopping bag before returning the waste receptacle to the unit.Acclimating Your Cat to the Simply CleanT Litter Box SystemSome cats may require an acclimation period to get used to a new litter box. Here are a few tips to help with the transition: Place the new Simply CleanT Litter Box System next to your cat's existing litter box.Allow your cat to have access to both the old and the new litter boxes for at least a week. This time may vary based on the temperament of your cat.Although the Simply CleanT Litter Box System is extremely quiet while running, you may want to leave the system unplugged for a few days to allow your cat the opportunity to use the new litter box without any distractions. Note: You will need to manually scoop waste from the Simply CleanT Litter Box System until your cat is fully acclimated to using the new litter box. Allow your cat's old litter box to remain dirty. Cats prefer a clean litter box and this will make the new Simply CleanT Litter Box System more appealing. Once your cat is acclimated to the Simply CleanT Litter Box System, just plug in the system and your cat should find its new litter box clean and ready for use. Remove the old litter box from the area.Three Easy Steps for Waste RemovalWe recommend changing the recycled plastic shopping bag at least every other day (more if you have two cats), and we recommend wearing rubber gloves while doing so.Pull out Waste Receptacle.Tie handles of the recycled plastic shopping bag and discard waste material.Replace with a clean, recycled plastic shopping bag and return Waste Receptacle to the Simply CleanT Litter Box System.To Clean:Unplug the Power Adapter from the unit.Remove the Conveyor Cover.Remove the screws from the center of the Litter Bowl and top of the Conveyor System and lift the Conveyor System.Remove the Litter Bowl and dispose of used litter.If further cleaning is necessary, the Litter Bowl can be fully submerged in water and washed with a mild soap. Do not submerge or expose the electrical components to water or cleaning solutions. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reassembling unit. To Reassemble: Place the Litter Bowl back into the base unit and gently lower the Conveyor System and attach the two screws.Align the Conveyor Cover with the Conveyor System and snap into place.Line the Waste Receptacle with a recycled plastic shopping bag and return to the unit.Fill the Simply CleanT Litter Box with premium clumping, scoopable cat litter to the designated Fill Line. Plug Power Adapter into the unit and the system is ready for use. Important: For the Simply CleanT Litter Box System to operate properly, the green indicator light on the side of the unit should be on. If the indicator light is not on, check the Conveyor Cover and the Waste Receptacle to make sure that they are aligned correctly with the unit. Troubleshooting Waste appears to be breaking up into small pieces that fall through the spaces in the Conveyor System. Make sure that you are using premium clumping, scoopable cat litter and check litter to make sure that it reaches the fill line. Occasionally manual scooping maybe required.Litter is gathering at the base of the Conveyor System. Use a scooper and redistribute the litter or remove the excess litter from the bowl. Unit makes grinding noise when the bowl rotates. See the "Care and Cleaning" section of the instruction manual.Make sure that there is no stray litter between the Litter Bowl and the base of the unit. Motor seems to be overheating, clicking, or making unusual sounds. Unplug the unit and call PetSafe's Customer Service Center at 1-800-732-2677 (US), 1-800-457-3911 (Canada). The green Indicator Light is not on.See the "Four Easy Steps for Setup" section of the instruction manual.Make sure the Conveyor Cover and Waste Receptacle are correctly installed. There are safety features that require these pieces to be installed properly for the system to operate.
