Then, attach snap to the d-ring on the dog's collar or harness. (Be sure the pet's collar or harness is of high-quality and provides adequate strength.To Operate:Hold the lead by the handle and release the lock by sliding the button back and toward the handle. To stop the retractable lead, slide the button completely forward. Sudden movement by your dog could cause injury.When walking the dog, keep the retractable lead down and away from your body and head. If the retractable lead breaks away from the dog's collar, apply the lock and turn your face. These measures will help avoid injury from the snap, as the lead may quickly retract.Do not open the retractable lead case. The case is spring loaded and if opened, can cause injury.If webbing becomes wet, pull it out from the case as far as it will go and lock it in place. Allow the web to dry completely. Once dry, allow the webbing to slowly rewind, maintaining light tension as it rewinds.Keep these instructions on hand for future reference.
