Handle carefully when against the skin in order to avoid scratching.Save The InstructionsBattery Installation/ReplacementRemove the battery compartment cover from the back of the trimmer by sliding it down in the direction of the arrow (on instructions).Insert one AA alkaline battery with the positive (+) end pointing up. Wahl recommends an Energizer brand battery.Replace battery cover to its original position.To maximize battery life, trimmer should be shut off immediately after each use.Cleaning Your TrimmerClean after each use. Turn the trimmer off and slide the cleaning brush down and out of its groove in the trimmer body. Brush hairs from the cutting head. Do not wash or rinse any part of the trimmer with water.Apply a drop or two of oil to the blade and turn the trimmer on for one or two seconds to evenly distribute the oil. Do not over oil.Always replace the protective blade cover before storing the trimmer.Before TrimmingRemove the protective blade cover and turn the trimmer on. You're now ready to trim. Guide the blades slowly to the area to be trimmed.Be CreativeYour Wahl Trimmer is designed to allow you to edge, trim, shape, and create lines and designs. Be creative, but work slowly. Do not force the trimmer through the hair. Let the trimmer do the work.To create lines, hold the trimmer as shown in the instruction manual and trim gently. For wider lines, start at the top and pull downward.
