Motion activated sprinkler is the smartest scarecrow ever invented. When it detects an intruder, The Scarecrow instantly sprays the trespasser with water under full garden hose pressure. The effect is both startling and immediate! Animals quickly get out of the area and avoid it in the future.Scarecrow keeps unwanted pests out of the garden day or night. Effective at controlling deer, cats, dogs, raccoons, herons, rabbits, and many others. The Scarecrow's water conserving design only uses about two cups of water per three second deterrence.Fires thousands of times on only one 9 volt alkaline battery.Directs water accurately up to 35 feet--protecting a 1,000 square foot area.Uses a passive infrared sensor to detect the temperature difference between an animal and the background.Scarecrow pauses eight seconds after initial burst before resuming sensing to create an element of randomness and unpredictability--preventing animals from becoming used to the device.Multiple sensitivity settings and water coverage adjustments let you customize the coverage area. Why It WorksThe Scarecrow consistently creates a memorable and unpleasant experience through a combination of:sudden unexpected noiseunexpected movementwater spray. The animal immediately associates this unpleasant experience with the location. To avoid similar surprises, they begin to avoid the area. While humans flee several steps after activating a Scarecrow motion-activated sprinkler, animals are scared to a much greater degree, run much further, and stay away longer.Training/repelling is consistent at the location, 24 hours a day.Safely and effectively repels animals using water-based concept--without chemicals, visually objectionable barriers or shock. Great for use in neighborhoods where fences are not permitted.
The Scarecrow requires a garden hose connection and one alkaline 9 volt battery.Cautionary RemindersMalfunctioning sprinklers carry an inherent risk of causing water damage to your property. Mitigate your risks by limiting the amount of water available to the unit (open hose 3/4 turn maximum), employing good quality hoses (or preferably using hard plumbed irrigation pipes) and ensuring your water pressure is within the normal operating range for the unit.Intended to operate between 30 and 80 psi (2 - 5.5 Bar). Install a pressure-reducing valve on the tap if your water pressure exceeds 80 psi. When pushing the stake into the ground, do not push down or apply weight on the sensor housing. Before disconnecting the unit or the hose, always turn water off and activate the unit with your hand to reduce line pressure in the hose. Before the first winter frost, take the Scarecrow inside and remove battery.Dust, dirt, or hard water buildup on the white lens will limit sensitivity. Keep the lens clean by wiping gently with a damp cloth. The eye on the Scarecrow decal may frighten small birds.Avoid pointing at moving water, windy areas, and moving vehicles.Illustrated Manual included with product.
