Setting up a home for your Betta: Once removing the kit from the box thoroughly rinse both the aquarium and gravel with fresh water. Never use soap on any component placed in your aquarium as soap is harmful to fish. Fill the aquarium with room temperature water and add a capful of the Nutrafin Betta Bowl Water Conditioner. Adding water conditioner is extremely important as tap water contains chemicals such as chlorine, chloramine and other metals that are detrimental to your Betta's health. It is now safe to introduce your Betta into its new home. Wall Mounting: Note Hardware NOT Included. The unit can be mounted to the wall with two #8 round head screws. Two holes located on the back panel of the unit are provided for this purpose. There is a thin layer of plastic covering the holes on the wall side of the tank suport. The screws will easily pierce this plastic cover. Important: When mounting the unit it is essential to employ the appropriate hardware capable of holding over 2.5 kg in weight. Make sure the wall area intended for mounting is free from hidden electrical wires, water pipes, or gas lines. Do not mount the aquarium in direct sunlight, near a heat source, fabric, drapes or outdoors. Remove the aquarium tank from the mounted frame for cleaning.
