Note: Larger flakes should be broken up to prevent clogging of feeding tube. *See note below.Regulate quantity of food by turning adjustable food dispenser. At the + setting, the DD-AF2 will dispense the maximum serving per rotation, at the - setting, the minimum.Before attaching food drum to motor spindle check food quantity by rotating the feeding drum clockwise over a sheet of paper. To increase or decrease quantity, rotate food dispenser tube to + or - setting.Load fresh AA battery (not included).Mount food drum onto one of four positions on square spindle and check drum rotation by inspecting after one hour. Clockwise movement of feeding tube should be equivalent to that of the hour hand on a clock.Clamp onto tank frame and secure tightly with screw. Slide unit forward to insure that the food drum can rotate freely over water.Or, remove mounting clamp and set aside for freestanding option on tank hood.To keep food dry, do not place above any bubbling accessories such as airstones, aerating ornaments, or turbulent filters.Feeding will now take place twice per day as food drum rotates clockwise.Note: This product is engineered to dispense finely crushed flake food. Pelletized food is not recommended due to its density. If you wish to try pelletized food, fill drum only to 1/3 capacity and check regularly for proper rotation.Motor manufactured in Taiwan.
