Suggested Uses: For optimum landscaping, use 2 pounds of sand per 1 gallon of water. Create your own unique aquascape using one or more colors. By combining colors you can create your own personalized mix to enhance or contrast your selected décor. Natural underwater settings can be created by combining various colors and/or textures to create depth and contours.Instructions:1. Rinse well in tap water to remove loose particles before use; do not put Aquarium Sand in an aquarium that has aquatic life inside. Rinse using an extra fine mesh strainer, or rinse in the bag, continuously pouring out the top levels of water (careful not to pour out the sand).2. Sand can have a lot of particles when first put in the water; the rinse will remove most particles and regular filtration will remove the rest.3. Do not scrub or rub together.4. Spread gravel along bottom of habitat to create desired depth.5. Wait until water is clear before adding aquatic life.Not suitable for children. Wash hands before and after handling.
