Water changes should be done every two to four weeks, or as needed to maintain proper water quality.Using a gravel vacuum or siphon, remove 10-25% of the aquarium water.Vacuum or siphon the water from the gravel to remove dirt and debris that has settled.Be sure to use water conditioner, sold separately, to detoxify water that is put back in the aquarium and add protective slime coat, sold separately.To ensure that your aquarium's biological stability is maintained, don't clean or replace your filter media on the same day that you do your water change.Test your water regularly.Warning:Children can fall into bucket and drown.
