InstructionsPlace grate into the breeder, being sure that it is seated on grid stops. For Multi-Purpose Breeder use, slide divider into vertical grooves.Place breeder in aquarium ensuring that air tanks are full on both sides. Provided the current of the tank is not too strong, the breeder can be stabilized by pressing it against the front panel of the aquarium. Breeder may also be used free-floating.Place pregnant female(s), one per compartment, in breeder several days before term. Place lid on top to prevent fish from escaping. Fry (baby fish) will automatically fall to the bottom and grate will protect them until the parents are removed. Allow one to two hours for birthing. After the fry are born, remove the parents, grate, and divider. Since fish birthing varies, research the procedures for the type of fish you are breeding. The breeder now becomes a growth tank. Fry may be left in the breeder until they reach a suitable size to be released in the aquarium or transferred to another tank (approximately three to four weeks). Replace lid.
